I've been using Wings 3D for personal projects for a few years now. It's great for creating low-poly models quickly and efficiently. The lack of animation tools is a drawback, but the modeling capabilities are solid. The interface is a bit dated, but once you get used to it, it's quite intuitive. It's an amazing free tool, especially for beginners looking to learn the basics of 3D modeling.

Wings 3D served its purpose when I needed a quick and simple modeler for prototyping. While it has a unique edge-looping system, it is somewhat confusing initially. Exporting to common file formats is straightforward, but I've noticed the UV unwrapping could be improved. It's a decent option if you're on a tight budget, but be prepared to supplement it with other tools for a complete workflow. It's reliable and stable, though.

For 3D printing, Wings 3D is surprisingly useful. It's perfect for creating clean, manifold models that are ready to slice. The focus on quads and subdivision surfaces results in smooth curves and organic shapes, which translate well to printed objects. While it doesn't have built-in tools for hollowing, its export options work well with other programs for that purpose. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a free and powerful modeling tool for 3D printing.

3D Coat has revolutionized my workflow! The voxel sculpting is incredibly intuitive, allowing for rapid prototyping and detailed organic forms that are difficult to achieve in other 3D modeling software. The auto-retopology feature is a massive time-saver. I'm consistently impressed with the updates and responsiveness of the development team. Highly recommended for any serious 3D artist.

As a game developer, I find 3D Coat to be an invaluable tool for creating high-quality assets. The painting tools are robust and allow for fine control over textures. The UV unwrapping tools are also surprisingly powerful and intuitive. The only minor drawback is the slightly steep learning curve for some of the more advanced features, but the results are well worth the effort.

3D Coat is pretty good, especially for organic modeling. The voxel sculpting is where it shines. However, I've experienced some performance issues with very high-poly models and complex scenes, so that is something to consider. The support team has been helpful in addressing some of these concerns. It is definitely worth trying the trial version to see if it fits your needs before committing to a purchase.

I've used many 3D modeling programs over the years, and 3D Coat stands out for its specialized tools and unique workflow. The retopology tools are the best I've ever used, hands down, making the process of creating optimized models significantly faster. The integration between sculpting and painting is seamless, allowing for a very artistic and efficient creative process. Incredible for stylized character creation.

Mudbox is a fantastic digital sculpting tool! The intuitive interface made it easy to dive in and start creating detailed models. I especially appreciate the robust layering system for textures and the seamless integration with other Autodesk products. The performance, even with high-poly meshes, is surprisingly smooth. It's a must-have for any serious 3D artist focusing on character or creature design.

As a long-time ZBrush user, I found Mudbox surprisingly intuitive to pick up. While it may not have every single bell and whistle of its competitor, the UV layout tools and the painting workflows are very efficient. The texture baking is a major plus, saving a lot of time in my pipeline. It lacks some of the advanced mesh manipulation of ZBrush, but still holds its own very well.

Mudbox is decent, but it does have some limitations. I really enjoyed the ease of polypainting and the sculpting tools are generally effective. However, I experienced some crashes with very high-poly models, which was frustrating. The lack of certain advanced features present in other sculpting packages makes it less appealing for complex projects. Customer support could be more responsive, too.
